Air Freight: common questions
How is air freight charged?
Airlines charge on the greater of actual weight and volumetric (dimensional) weight. Volumetric weight is commonly calculated as length × width × height in cm ÷ 6,000. Sharing accurate dimensions helps us quote precisely.
Can you ship dangerous goods by air?
Some dangerous goods can move by air when correctly classified, packed, labelled and declared. Share the safety data sheet (SDS) and we will confirm what is possible.
What is an air waybill?
The air waybill (AWB) is the transport document for air cargo. It acts as a receipt and contract of carriage and carries an 11-digit number used for tracking.
